IRAQ: KILLER OF FATHER, HUSBAND SENTENCED TO DEATH

the criminal court in Karbala, Iraq, sentenced a woman to death for killing her father and husband with the help of her lover, according to a local media director.
"The murders occurred three months ago in a house in al-Hussein neighbourhood," Maj. Alaa Abbas told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"The court has found that the woman is guilty...," the major noted.
"With the help of her lover, whose trial has been postponed until further notice, the woman has hidden the corpses in an unknown place," he added.
The holy Shiite city of Karbala lies 110 km southwest of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
