It is rare for Korean mainstream artists to team up with some of this country's finest alternative musicians for some serious, thought provoking cause but November 11 presented such a coupling with the "Citizens' Concert" (also known as the "Ku Ka Mu Nar Concert").
The concert was meant to raise funds for the campaign to abolish capital punishment in Korea. Some of the giant names participating in this performance included the "Diva of Live," Lee Eun-mi, the Korean workers' singer An Chi-won with the group Freedom, the Korean chanteuse Park Hye-Kyoung and Jang Sa-yi.
Along with Yang Hui-eun, the rising R&B Korean American duo As One, the respected popstars UN, U Mi-jin and the PBC Young Boys and Girls Choir.
