It was reported that the Sichuan Higher People's Court, China, confirmed the death sentence for Xiao Hongbo, a low-level bank officer who embezzled 4.13 million yuan between December 1998 and May 2001. Xiao had originally been sentenced to death by Dazhou Intermediate People's Court in July 2003.
