seven more of Italy’s Regional ‘Governors’ have added their names to the appeal to ask California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to halt the execution of Stanley Williams scheduled to take place on December 13. Roberto Formigoni, President of Lombardy, Antonio Bassolino (Campania), Vito De Filippo (Basilicata), Luciano Caveri (Valle d’Aosta), Renato Soru (Sardegna), Maria Rita Lorenzetti (Umbria) and Gian Mario Spacca (Marche) add their support to that of Piero Marrazzo, President of Lazio, Salvatore Cuffaro (Sicily), Mercedes Bresso (Piedmont), Ottaviano Del Turco (Abruzzo), Claudio Martini (Tuscany), Vasco Errani (Emilia-Romagna) and Nichi Vendola (Puglia).
So far 14 regional Presidents have undersigned the appeal promoted by Hands Off Cain.
On November 24, the Conference of Autonomous Regions and Provinces also directed an appeal to the Governor of California to put a stop to Williams’ execution.
