Amnesty International Japan took a street poll in Tokyo asking people whether they would be prepared to hand down the death sentence if they are selected as a lay judge.

Amnesty International Japan took a street poll in Tokyo asking people whether they would be prepared to hand down the death sentence if they are selected as a lay judge. According to the poll, 110 people said they could sentence someone to hang, 97 said they couldn't and 33 said they weren't sure, Amnesty said.
