John Joseph Romano was pronounced dead at 9:12 p.m. Romano, 43, had been sentenced to death in 1987 for killing Roger Sarfaty in 1985, and for killing Lloyd Thompson a year after. Romano becomes the 1st condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Oklahoma.
