Jordan's military prosecutor urged a security court to convict a US-born militant, saying evidence proved he had plotted attacks on US targets on the orders of Usamah Bin Ladin's Al-Qa'idah network.
Prosecutor General Colonel Muhammad Ubaydat said at the summing up of the case against Ra'id Hijazi that all the evidence submitted against the defendant during the course of the eight-month trial demonstrated he was guilty beyond doubt. If convicted, Hijazi faces the death penalty.
