Judah Akesim, MP for Ambunti-Drekikir, wants police to give licences to all Papua New Guineans so that everyone should have a gun in his possession. He said if everyone had a gun there will not be any killings because of the fear of retaliation.
Akesim said the government had passed the capital punishment law but as yet there was no execution of those accused and unless drastic measures were imposed law and order would continue to be a problem.
