KARBALA COURT SENTENCES THREE SUSPECTS TO DEATH

Rahman Mashawi, the spokesman for Karbala security operations, said a penal court in Karbala, Iraq, sentenced three suspects to capital punishment after they plead guilty to murder and kidnapping key city figures and forcing people to pay ransoms after kidnapping their children. He noted that security forces captured the armed group while its members were trying to abduct a girl in the city centre.
