Kenneth Parr was executed for the Jan. 21, 1998, rape and fatal shooting of a woman during a break-in at her home.
Parr was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m..
Parr, 27, was just days past his 18th birthday, when authorities said he and a younger half brother kicked in the door of the home of 30-year-old Suzie Malek, robbed the place, then raped her and shot her.
Parr's younger half-brother, Michael Jiminez, also was convicted in the case and is serving a life sentence. He was 17 at the time.
Parr was the 20th condemned inmate executed this year in Texas, the 33rd this year in the USA and the 1090th overall since the nation resumed executions on January 17, 1977.
Parr was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m..
