Evans Kipruto, a 33 year old from Kabartonjo Baringo County was sentenced to death for the offence of robbery with violence.
Kipruto allegedly robbed Zakayo Cheruyot on the 16th of September 2013.
Kipruto is believed to have stolen one mobile phone, Nokia 1600, a sim-card, a spotlight torch and Ksh 510- cumulatively valued at Ksh 2,760.
Senior Resident Magistrate Evanson Bett found the accused guilty of the offence and sentenced him to death.
The Magistrate also added that robbery with violence in the region was on the increase and stated that there will be no mercy for such heinous acts.
