A student who robbed a fellow student and his cousin at knife-point has been sentenced to death.
Gathogo Mwaniki, a student from Nyeri National Polytechnic, was sent to the gallows after the court found him guilty of violently robbing his colleague, Moses Moses Kagiri, of Sh500 and a mobile phone.
Mwaniki was convicted by Nyeri Senior Resident Magistrate Ruth Kefa.
He also faced a second count of robbing Benjamin Kirugumi, a cousin to Kagiri, of a mobile phone.
