KENYA: WOMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR KILLING DAUGHTER

a woman was sentenced to death for killing her step daughter in Kenya. Agnes Teresia Amati was found guilty of having committed the offence five years ago. Judge Nicholas Ombiya ruled that the evidence adduced by witnesses against her showed that the accused was guilty of murdering her stepdaughter on August 29, 2003. Teresia the second wife of James Amati was accused of stabbing her stepdaughter in the neck, killing her instantly. In his testimony, the husband told the court that he saw his wife dragging the body of the deceased.
