three casual labourers in Kenya who raided an estate near Nyeri Town were sentenced to death. Naftali King'ori Njoroge, Charles Wachira Mwangi and Francis Wanjohi Nyuthe were convicted by senior principal magistrate Mr Joel Ng'eno for the offence they committed two years ago. They were found guilty of breaking into five houses at Ngangarithi Estate where they stole cash and household goods on the night of April 27 and 28, 2006. The three, and their accomplices who were not arrested, had torches which they used after smashing light bulbs. The five victims said they identified their attackers due to the light from the torches. A taxi driver said that he was hired by the suspects to ferry them and some goods from Ngangarithi to Kamakwa the night of the incident.
