Kern County Superior Court Judge Roger Randall has sent triple murderer David Leslie Murtishaw back to death row for the 3rd time. Murtishaw, 44, was originally convicted and placed on death row in 1979 for fatally shooting 3 University of Southern California students on April 9, 1978. His conviction has always been affirmed. But his sentence was reversed twice by the state Supreme Court and a federal appeals court.
