Luohe City Intermediate People's Court, China, sentenced Yang Xinhai, 38, for killing 67 people and raping 23 women since 1999 in Henan, Shandong, Anhui and Hebei provinces.
Yang, who reportedly murdered entire families often using an iron hammer, had completed two stints in labour camps and was released from jail in 1999.
He said he would not appeal.
