MALAYSIA: DEATH SENTENCE FOR MURDER UPHELD

Chief Justice Azmi and judges Yuen and Embong of the Malaysian Federal Court reaffirmed the conviction and death sentence of unemployed man Aziz Mat Shah, 31. In March 2004, the Kuala Lumpur High Court convicted Aziz of murdering his lover's child, Nik Zarina Abdullah, in Kuala Lumpur on May 1, 2001.
