MALAYSIA: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR ARMED ROBBERY
unemployed man R. Ravindran, 36, was sentenced to death by Judge Datuk Mohd Zaki Mohd Yassin of the Penang High Court in Malaysia for robbing Gayathrii Tangga Maligai Jewellers at Lebuh Pasar on January 14, 2007.

Ravindran, 36, was sentenced to death by Judge Datuk Mohd Zaki Mohd Yassin of the Penang High Court in Malaysia for robbing Gayathrii Tangga Maligai Jewellers at Lebuh Pasar on January 14, 2007. He was also sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and 10 strokes of the rotan. He allegedly opened fire during the robbery, which could have caused deaths.
