a 40 year old mineral water salesman was sentenced to death by the Malaysian High Court for shooting at four policemen during a robbery in Sungai Buloh. Yong Kar Mun was charged with bank robbery and opening fire at policeman with the intention of causing death or injury. He was accused of committing the crime with Teng Mun Hoong, 40, who was shot dead during their attempt to flee after the incident. Yong was accused of committing the offence at Maybank, in Petaling Jaya, on June 3, 2002.
