MALAYSIA THAI MAN ON DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGE ESCAPES THE GALLOWS

a Thai national escaped the gallows when he was acquitted and discharged by the Malaysian High Court of a drug trafficking charge. Mahamasoree Jehmah, 31, and Abdul Fade were charged with trafficking cannabis weighing 65,880.9 gm at Padang Besar on Sept 1 2003. Fade was acquitted and discharged on Nov 21 last year when the prosecution failed to prove a case against him.
