MALAYSIA: TWO MYANMAR WOMEN AND TWO LOCALS TO HANG FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

In Malaysia, two Myanmar women and two Malaysian men were sentenced to death by hanging by the High Court after they were found guilty of drug trafficking three years ago.
Justice Datuk Ghazali Cha in his judgement at the conclusion of the defence case said all the accused had failed to raise any reasonable doubt on the prosecution's case.
"Their defence is illogical and hard to believe. Furthermore, there is no basis to disbelieve the credibility of the prosecution's witnesses especially the policemen and officers who had testified in the case," Ghazali said.
As soon as the sentence was read, Ambiya Mohamad, 40, Arafah Abu, 30, Lim Siau Seng, 32 and K. Vigneswaran, 27, were in tears and hugged their family members who tried to console them.
They were charged with trafficking in 212 grams of drugs consisting of 162.3 grams of heroin and 50.3 grams of monoacetylmorphines.
