MALI. GOVERNMENT ABOLISHES THE DEATH PENALTY

the Mali government announced it adopted a bill for the abolition of the death penalty. In a statement issued at the end of a cabinet meeting, the Government said under the bill, the death penalty will be replaced with life imprisonment.
