Mohammed Lodhi, 43, a businessman Pakistani national, is fighting extradition to the United Arab Emirates where he faces a death sentence, possibly by crucifixion, if extradited. He was convicted of drugs offences in the Gulf state in his absence. He alleged the charges were fabricated after he fell out with local sheikhs when he became too successful.
