Mohammed Reza-Chupari and Daryush Keshavarz , both Iranians, were hunged in public for murdering three police officers and drug trafficking in the central city of Abadeh. They killed the [unidentified] officers, who were following them for suspected drug offences, on January 7, 1999. They were also condemned for dealing 900 kilograms of opium.
