Mohammed Thabit al-Sumi was stoned to death in Ibb for raping and murdering his 12-year-old daughter. He was buried up to his chest while hundreds of people, including women, hurled rocks at him. He took four hours to die in what was the first execution by stoning in modern Yemeni history.
