Moscow welcomed the decision of the Turkish government to suspend the death sentence imposed on Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan. "We regard this decision as the manifestation of the readiness of the Turkish leadership to take the opinion of the international, primarily the European public, into account, although with certain reservations," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevgeniy Voronin said.
