Nanping Municipal Intermediate People's Court, Fujian Province, sentenced Xu Jie to death for organizing a triad gang, assault, offering bribes and gambling, the Fujian Daily reported. It was also reported that the Sanming Municipal Intermediate People's Court, Fujian Province, sentenced Lin Xiaodong to death for assault, blackmail, trouble-making, and gambling. "In 1995, Lin began organizing thugs to dominate markets in Youxi County by force," the paper said.
