NIGER: TWO ALGERIANS SENTENCED TO DEATH OVER 2013 AREVA ATTACK

At the end of December, the Niamey Court of Appeal handed down two death sentences and five acquittals.

At the end of December, the Niamey Court of Appeal handed down two death sentences and five acquittals in the case of the alleged instigators of the May 2013 terrorist attacks against a subsidiary of Orano (formerly Areva) and the Nigerien town of Agadez.
The two defendants who were sentenced to death are Algerian citizens.
