NIGERIA: EDO PROPOSES DEATH PENALTY FOR KIDNAPPERS

kidnappers may face the death penalty in Edo State, Nigeria, if the amendment to the state law on kidnapping being proposed by the state government is passed, Governor Adams Oshiomhole revealed. The governor said the offence of kidnapping was as serious as that of armed robbery, which carries the death penalty.
