the death sentence of Ibadan-based panel beater Emmanuel Olabode for burning apprentice Kehinde Omotanwa to death was unanimously affirmed by the Nigerian Supreme Court. On March 26, 2007, the Court of Appeal, Ibadan Division, also upheld the decision of an Oyo State High Court. Justice Pius Aderemi heard that on March 18, 2001, Olabode poured petrol on Omotanwa and set him ablaze.
