NIGERIA: THREE TO DIE BY HANGING FOR ARMED ROBBERY

Kingsely Akhabue, Fabian Matthew and Ismaila Fatoki, were sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos High Court in Nigeria for armed robbery, carried out between March 22 and 23, 2008, at Igando area of Lagos State. "The fact that the accused persons said they made statements under torture did not mean the court cannot act upon it, when there are other evidences before the court," the judge held.
