On August 14, there was a poll that indicates the feelings of the French about the death penalty. The majority of French people say they are against the death penalty (50% against 48%). This is the first time that this reverse trend has emerged. Four years ago, the opposite opinion widely prevailed: 55% in favor of the death penalty, 43% against.
