On December 20, Hani Salah Abdel-Tawab, 19, his brother Ikrami, 21, Ahmed Ibrahim al-Sayed, 23, and Eid Sutouhy Abdo, 28, were sentenced to death in absentia for kidnapping and raping a 22-year-old woman. She was waiting for a minibus in the busy Pyramids area of Giza, last December when the four men picked her up. They took her to an agricultural area, where the gang raped her at knifepoint and abandoned her.
