On December 8, District and Sessions Judge Rahimyar Khan Saifur Rehman awarded the death sentence to Abid Hussain and life imprisonment to Muhammad Iqbal, in the Rana Bazar murder case. Hussain and Iqbal had fallen out with Abdul Waheed, a Khokha owner in Rana Bazar, and shot him to death on September 18, 1996.
