On June 17, a 17-year-old Indonesian was charged in a juvenile court with murdering two youths earlier in the month. The boy, who is a permanent resident, is alleged to have caused the deaths of Poon Yew Mun, 20, and Kwong Pak Phai, 18, with a knife on June 2. He was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty.
