On November 2, a special court for the suppression of terrorist activities awarded the death sentence, 30 lashes and a fine of Rs 20,000 to Mohammad Siddique in a hudud case. According to the prosecution, the 3 defendants, Mohammad Siddique, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Naeem, had abducted the young daughter of Mohammad Anwar of Chak Maqsoodpura and criminally assaulted her. The court awarded the death sentence to Siddique, while the two others were acquitted.
