On the orders of Beijing's Higher People's Court, eight Chinese criminals were executed in Beijing.
Four of them, Li Zhengguang, Zheng Xianghao, Chen Hongguang and Zhu Qinghua were found guilty of organising a criminal syndicate in Beijing targeting recreational ventures and restaurants in Chaoyang District.
They crimes included the killing of six people. They were found guilty of voluntary manslaughter, malicious injury, inciting violence, racketeering, rioting in the streets and the unlawful possession of guns.
Hu Yanchun and Shan Baoshan, foragers from northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Cao Shaochun, who impersonated a policeman, and Zhu Likai, of Beijing who was found guilty of robbery, malicious injury and racketeering were also executed.
