in Pakistan, a bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) comprising Chief Justice Muhammad Bilal Khan and Justice Muhammad Ramzan Chaudhry commuted the death sentence of three convicts in a narcotics case into life imprisonment. The Tarnol Police arrested Javed Khan, Shindi Gul and Rehman Gul after recovering 440 kilograms of charas, three pistols and eleven rounds from their possession in 2002. An additional sessions judge in Islamabad awarded them death sentences.
