PAKISTAN: FOUR AWARDED DEATH SENTENCES FOR DRUG SMUGGLING

in Multan, Pakistan, Additional District & Session Judge Mian Masood Hussain awarded the death sentence and fines of Rs.0.5 million each to four men for drug smuggling. Waqar Ahmed, Abdul Waheed, Aamer Shehzad and Saeed Marjan were found guilty of possessing 221 kgs of Hashish, 5kgs of opium and 2 kgs of other drugs. They were arrested by New Multan Police on August 7, 2006.
