PAKISTAN: MAN CONVICTED OF MURDER

in Sargodha, Pakistan, Additional District and Sessions Judge Timmar Hayat Gondal sentenced Muhammad Anwar to death for murder and fined him Rs 100,000. Anwar and four others allegedly killed Atta Muhammad over a land dispute in Jhawarian on August 31, 2008. The court acquitted co-accused Yaseen, Azam, Nusrat Bibi and Beeve.
