"The Taliban blindfolded the four (alleged) criminals before allowing people to shoot them," the witnesses told the Daily Times by phone from Wana. According to the Taliban, the four men were ‘found guilty’ of killing five people and "local clerics decreed their execution in public to serve as a lesson for others". Sources said the four persons "took shelter at the Camp Office" where paramilitary forces are stationed, but Taliban demanded their handover.
