PAKISTAN: MAN EXECUTED FOR SLAUGHTERING WIFE, DAUGHTERS

Abdul Shakoor, convicted of slaughtering of his wife and two minor daughters, was executed in New Central Jail in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Shakoor, a resident of Street No 8, Khanqa Sharif, slaughtered his wife Ayesha and their two daughters Shabana, 6, and Abida, 2, with a knife nine years ago. A case was registered against Abdul Shakoor in Police Station of Sama Sata and the court later sentenced him to death. Abdul Shakoor killed his wife because he doubted her character. Despite all the efforts from the family of Shakoor, no settlement was made with the father of the murdered woman. After the rejection of appeals by the High Court, Supreme Court and President of Pakistan, Shakoor was hanged.
