PAKISTAN: MAN GETS DEATH SENTENCE FOR MURDER

an Additional District and Sessions Judge in Pakistan awarded a death sentence to a murder convict and imposed a Rs100,000 fine on him. Muhammad Ilyas was charged with murdering his friend Hanif Khan in March 2006 over an unknown issue in the Shahdara police precincts. He was arrested on the complaint of the victim’s brother. In case of default, the convict will have to undergo six months more imprisonment.
