in Pakistan, Additional District and Sessions (ADS) Judge Khalid Mehmood Ranjha awarded capital punishment to a man for killing his son-in-law who married his daughter without his consent. On August 27, 2007, Sher Muhammad, alias Sheri, fatally shot his son-in-law Nazeer Gul dead in a village in the limits of Chontra Police Station and was booked under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
