President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharaf stayed the simultaneous execution of six criminals accused of murder till 17th of August and asked for a report on the matter. The orders had sent waves of joy amongst the relatives.

Manzoor Ahmad, Javed Iqbal, Muhammad Ilyas, Muhammad Anwar, Muhammad Ishaq and Ghulam Mustafa were due to be executed for killing three people. This was the fourth time that their executions had been postponed.
