PAKISTAN: SENTENCED TO DEATH

in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, additional district and sessions judge Sajjad Hussain Sindhar sentenced Tahir Butt to death and fined him Rs200,000 for murdering Asif Mir. Tahir allegedly shot Asif dead under Pirwadhai police area on September 10, 2008, as he opposed his marriage to his sister.
