the Sindh High Court in Pakistan dismissed appeal challenging capital punishment awarded to two accused by Special Judge-II (CNS) Karachi. Muhammad Anwar Shah & Anwar were charged with possessing 976kg charas. Special Judge-II (CNS) Karachi awarded them capital punishment, and a Rs 100,000 fine each on December 18, 2008. Justice Ms Qaiser Iqbal & Justice Safdar Ali Bhutto said the appellants failed to spell out a case warranting urgent hearing.
