PAKISTAN: THREE MEN SPARED DEATH PENALTY, GET LIFE TERM

in Karachi, Pakistan, a full bench of the Supreme Court commuted the death sentences of three men to life imprisonment. Shirazul Haq, Qari Ghulam Yasin and Shiraz Ahmed were convicted by an anti-terrorism court of abducting a boy for Rs 20 million ransom. Justices Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Khilji Arif Hussain and Rehmat Hussain Jaffery heard the appeals.
