Patrick Moody, 39, was executed by injection at Central Prison for the Sept. 16, 1994, slaying of Donnie Robbins. Moody was having an affair with Robbins' wife Wanda, who persuaded Moody to shoot her husband so they could collect a $5,000 insurance policy.
Moody was pronounced dead at 2:19 a.m..
Patrick Moody interrupted his murder trial in 1995 to plead guilty to the slaying of Robbins.
Wanda Robbins was sentenced to life in prison plus 65 years after she pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and insurance fraud.
