POLL: NEARLY HALF OF UKRAINIANS WANT RESTORATION OF DEATH PENALTY

forty-five percent of Ukrainians say that the death penalty is a fair punishment, the Research & Branding Group said after having polled 2,075 respondents on March 20-31, 2011. The error margin keeps within 2.2%. People differed in their opinion about the abolition of the death penalty in Ukraine in 1999. Forty-five percent were against it then, and 40% supported it.
